About This Painting

Poppies are some of the simplest and yet some of the most attractive of all flowers. With their thin stems that wave in the breeze and their bright ornage and red flowers, they really capture center stage. I especially appreciate the wild poppies that bloom in vacant lots and along the side of the highway. They always strike me as joyful, swaying and dancing in the sun.
