About This Painting

The ability of poppies to stretch to the sky on long, thin stems never ceases to amaze me. The stems just seem too delicate to handle those big, beautiful flowers! These poppies seem to be reaching for the sky with almost no stems to support them. Poppies are traditional symbols for consolation. Learn more about flower meanings in my flower symbols book.
