About This Painting

A Little Bit of Summer was painted just before the snow began to fall here in Bozeman, Montana. It's a reminder that summer will come again and the flowers will bloom against the blue sky. This is a combination of an impressionistic painting and a fantasy painting. After many years of painting flowers and gardens, I often take elements from multiple paintings and combine them in a new and unique way, changing the scale or mix of flowers of colors of the flowers.
